Unified presentation across different output formats
Technical descriptions and product information for software solutions require unified presentation across all print and online publications, from sales documentation, product and feature descriptions, to manuals, instructions, online help, and software user interfaces. This information is often needed in several languages, making the management of it even more complex. Rapid product update cycles demand the prompt creation of accompanying documentation.
- The XML-based editing and content management solutions from SCHEMA offer effective support for these needs. A central data pool contains all relevant descriptions and product information. A user-friendly work platform lets text and content be created, managed and generated in the form of different documents and presentations. Interfaces with ERP and master data management systems, such as SAP KM, simplify data transfer and optimize the management and maintenance of product information. Revision control systems can also be integrated.
- So-called translation filters help identify text and content needing localization. Only the relevant information units in SCHEMA ST4 are sent for translation, leaving the remaining text untouched. Standard interfaces with translation management systems support automated processes and authors writing content for translation.

- The media-independent data format XML allows for the publication of content in various target media, guaranteeing, for example, the unified presentation of technical descriptions in manuals and web online help.
