Software-Documentation: The right support at the right moment
With the editing and content management solutions from SCHEMA, the concept of cross-media publishing is rigorously adhered to. In addition to paper-based documentation, users can generate online help from the information modules created in SCHEMA ST4. Reusing content across various media ensures consistent description and presentation.
The standard for online help, CHM (Compiled HTML Help, or Compressed HTML Help or Compiled Help Module(s)), is supported as the output format. This file format, developed by Microsoft, is used for help /index.php?option=com_schemadownload&file= in the Windows operating system (also referred to as HTML Help).
Context-sensitive online help can be created with SCHEMA ST4 as well, offering users the possibility to access the relevant help page directly from the application via a hotkey or by clicking a help button. Context-sensitive online help can be generated in the following formats:
- Context IDs
- Oracle Help
- and platform-independent
