Standardized information with product variety
The electronics industry is notable for its extensive and varied product portfolio. It's not rare to find a range of products containing up to 60,000 articles. Thus the requirements for presenting product information and feature descriptions consistently across data sheets, product catalogues, e-commerce solutions and technical documentation are extremely complex. Shorter and shorter product innovation cycles, the need to satisfy global markets, and the related need for multi-lingual documentation, as well as the requirement to meet mandatory standards and norms such as ETIM or ecl@ss pose further challenges for Product Information Management (PIM).
- SCHEMA's XML-based editing and content management solutions enable the creation of a central data pool containing all relevant descriptions and product information. Content and text from SCHEMA ST4 are transferred directly into the appropriate template or stylesheet, avoiding manual time-intensive and error-prone layout creation. The graphic designer can still adjust the layout whenever needed.
