In electronics, with its wide range of product groups and components, it is essential that all product information be consistent, whether printed on the box or in a DIN A2 leaflet.
Text and layout are usually created by different systems, making manual insertion of content into templates time-consuming and requiring extensive quality assurance after each correction or editing phase.
SCHEMA ST4 allows for processes to be automated and preserves the freedom media designers need. Through the automated layout generation, as much as 80% of production costs can be saved; in the area of translation 50%. The XML editing and content management system SCHEMA ST4 is based on concept of content and layout separation. User-friendly text editing with flexible text modules and integrated translation management make it easy to collaboratively create and update content. Role-based participation and the possibility of tracking changes guarantee a high degree of process safety.
Interfaces between SCHEMA ST4 and common graphics programs allow for layout generation with a single click. Content is automatically read into templates and the printer's copy created directly in PDF/X-3, Adobe InDesign or Quark XPress. With this instant layout generation, time-intensive and error-prone manual typesetting is avoided. The media designer can still adjust the layout modify templates at any time, and the altered layout used again for the same content production.
In addition to text, SCHEMA ST4 manages logos, pictograms, images, and finished printer's copies, covering all requirements for artwork management.
